Dr. Katerelos utilizes his experience as an oncology nurse and radiation oncologist to provide compassionate care to his patients, giving them the best possible chance to beat their disease.
Dr. Katerelos began his medical career serving in several nursing roles in the United States Army and at Northridge Hospital in Northridge, CA. During that time, he worked in the medical oncology unit, elevating to charge nurse. After several years of nursing experience, he returned to college to pursue his medical degree and graduated with his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Katerelos completed his internship at UCLA Olive View Medical Center and served his residency in radiation oncology at Loma Linda University Medical Center where he went on to become an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology in the Department of Radiation Medicine at Loma Linda University. He is a board certified radiation oncologist specializing in treating a variety of cancers throughout the body. In his spare time, Dr. Katerelos enjoys calisthenics and is an avid chess player.
