As an assistant professor at UC San Diego School of Medicine and dedicated clinical translational researcher, Dr. Tringale conducts clinical trials and analyzes data to improve outcomes and minimize toxicity following radiation therapy.
Kathryn Tringale, MD, MAS, is a board-certified radiation oncologist who specializes in treating brain and spine, breast and pediatric cancers, as well as leukemia and lymphoma. She customizes her radiation therapy plans for each individual to maximize the benefits of treatment, while minimizing side effects. She personalizes each patient’s care by building relationships with them to understand their goals and values.
Dr. Tringale completed her radiation oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she was both Chief Resident and Lacher Lymphoma Fellow. She conducts clinical trials and analyzes data to improve outcomes and minimize toxicity. She is the author of over 60 peer-reviewed publications, which have appeared in leading academic journals.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Tringale enjoys visiting museums and painting. She also enjoys being active with friends and family, especially running on the beach with her husband and golden retriever.
